Review by hotel critic
My recent stay at Stone Garden B&B in Ercolano was a delightful fusion of comfort and charm, perfect for a little family getaway. Nestled in a beautiful garden, the property offers stunning views of Vesuvius on one side and the sea on the other, making it an idyllic retreat between my explorations of Pompeii and Herculaneum with my daughter. The hosts, particularly Francesca, were incredibly warm and attentive, always eager to share their local insights, which is a rarity and much cherished during our travels. The room we stayed in was spacious, clean, and well-equipped, though slightly softer than I prefer — a minor detail for such a wonderful experience. The location couldn't be better; just a short 20-minute walk to Herculaneum, and the Miglio d'Oro train station is conveniently close, allowing easy access to Naples without the hassle of driving. After a day of history and exploration, we loved unwinding in the lovely garden where the dinner prepared by the host turned into a cherished memory for us. If you’re considering a peaceful escape while soaking in the rich history of the area, I wholeheartedly recommend Stone Garden B&B. I can’t wait to return!
